Separate
Voices are lifted off the music and ambient sound, so the soundtrack survives the dub.

Speech becomes timed text, split by speaker and sentence.

Each line is translated and sized to fit the seconds it has on screen.
Re-voice
A new voice reads each line, matched to the tone and pace of the original speaker.
Sync
The new speech is laid back over the picture and mixed with the original sound bed.
